Disc mower PRONAR PDT260

PRONAR PDT260 rear disc mower – central suspension for mounting on the tractor’s rear three-point linkage. Another advantage of such a design is the ability to regulate the force of the mower’s pressure on the ground, which guarantees very good ground following. Thanks to the use of a hydraulic cylinder and a three-stage spring adjustment system – 70, 80 and 90 kg – the machine can be set to any type of ground. A clean and precise cut on optimal height are ensured by the Pronar cutter bar. The angular gearbox driving the cutterbar is mounted on the upper beam, which in turn increases the working range (-16º ÷ +18º), while balancing the pressure of the cutterbar on each side. The drive has been adapted to tractors with a PTO speed of 540 [rpm]. Attention should also be paid to the components in direct contact with the ground, which are made of wear-resistant hardened boron steel. As an option for demanding substrates, it is possible to distance the bar from the ground with interchangeable high mowing skids of 20 and 50 [mm] height.

The mower is equipped with a multi-stage safety system starting from the protection of the mower disc modules against collision, through the clutch system of PTO drive shafts, to the hydraulic valve controlling the position of the mower arm when driving against an obstacle.

The PRONAR PDT260 mower can be transported in three different positions: vertically at the rear of the tractor, vertically at the side of the tractor (right side) and horizontally at the rear of the tractor. The change of position is carried out hydraulically after the safety locks have been disengaged. The machine can optionally be equipped with road lighting.

The cutter bar, thanks to its larger toothed wheels, always meshing with 2 pairs of teeth, which are additionally polished, translates into trouble-free and quiet power transmission between the two discs. The streamlined shape of the mower cutting bar has the effect of reducing fuel consumption during operation, thus reducing the power requirement of the tractor. This also improves the cutting effect.

The protective skids, optional high-mowing skids and discs are made of wear-resistant, hardened boron steel, as are all components in contact with the ground.

Cutting height is adjustable from 30 – 70[mm] by changing the angle of inclination of the cutting bar. Optional high mowing skids available, which are able to distance the bar an additional 20 or 50[mm], from the ground. This finds use in uneven and rocky meadows.

Thanks to the bolted construction of the slat and its modular design, access to the internal components is made easier. This reduces potential downtime and facilitates servicing. A specially designed spanner allows quick replacement of the 120[mm] long blades.

The swath conditioner abrades the wax layer from the plants, which speeds up drying, facilitates aeration and arranges a loose swath. The loosening fingers are cushioned by rubber elements. Metal swath scrapers make it easier to direct the flow of material.
