Disc mower PRONAR PDK220

The PRONAR PDK220 rear disc mower uses a classic suspension for mounting on the tractor’s rear three-point linkage.  It is a compact, strong lightweight construction built on the basis of the durable PRONAR cutter bar. A belt driven system is used in this model.  It has been adapted to tractors with a PTO speed of 540 [rpm]. The angular gearbox driving the modules is mounted on the cutter bar, such a solution guarantees reliable and stable operation of the machine, which has a wide range of deflections (-22º ÷ +45º). The precise copying system is achieved through the use of a hydraulic cylinder and linear adjustment of the spring relief. This facilitates work on uneven and steep terrain.

The mower is equipped with a multi-level safety system: starting with the protection of the cutting disc modules against collision, through the belt drive system and the mechanical arm position safety device reacting when the mower encounters an obstacle.

The PRONAR PDK220 mower can be transported in three different positions: vertically at the rear of the tractor, vertically at the side of the tractor (right side) and horizontally at the rear of the tractor. The change of position is carried out mechanically after the safety locks have been disengaged. The machine can optionally be equipped with road lighting.

The cutter bar, thanks to its larger toothed wheels, always meshing with 2 pairs of teeth, which are additionally polished, translates into trouble-free and quiet power transmission between the two discs. The streamlined shape of the mower cutting bar has the effect of reducing fuel consumption during operation, thus reducing the power requirement of the tractor. This also improves the cutting effect.

The protective skids, optional high-mowing skids and discs are made of wear-resistant, hardened boron steel, as are all components in contact with the ground.

Cutting height is adjustable from 30 – 70[mm] by changing the angle of inclination of the cutting bar. Optional high mowing skids available, which are able to distance the bar an additional 20 or 50[mm], from the ground. This finds use in uneven and rocky meadows.

Thanks to the bolted construction of the slat and its modular design, access to the internal components is made easier. This reduces potential downtime and facilitates servicing. A specially designed spanner allows quick replacement of the 120[mm] long blades.

The swath conditioner abrades the wax layer from the plants, which speeds up drying, facilitates aeration and arranges a loose swath. The loosening fingers are cushioned by rubber elements. Metal swath scrapers make it easier to direct the flow of material.
