Wheel fatigue tests

Test stands make it possible to perform the wheel disc rotating bending
tests which simulate the vehicle’s turning movements. Devices perform the
radial load fatigue tests of wheels and simulate the vehicle’s movement on
hardened surface. These tests are in accordance with the requirements of
UNECE Regulations and PN-93/S91240.03 standard. Tyre durability tests can
be performed at test stands.
Equipment and parameters:
• Test laboratory performs the following types of tests:
• Dynamic fatigue test of disc wheels with pneumatic tyres according to PN-93/S-91240/03 standard
in the following scope:
1. Dynamic cornering fatigue test according to point 5.4.14 of the standard in the following scope:
– maximum size of tested wheel rim [inch]: 45
– maximum loading force [kN]: 20
– maximum rotation speed [rpm]: 450
2. Dynamic radial fatigue test according to point 5.4.15 of the standard in the following scope:
– maximum diameter of tested wheel tyre [mm]: 2300
– minimum diameter of tested wheel tyre [mm]: 425
– maximum width of tested wheel tyre [mm]: 798
– maximum pressure force of tested wheel to running track [kN]: 300
– maximum linear speed of running track [km/h]: 120
• Load/speed test procedure of agricultural tyres according to UNECE Regulation No. 106 in the following
scope:
– maximum tyre diameter [mm]: 2300
– minimum tyre diameter [mm]: 425
– maximum tyre width [mm]: 798
– maximum pressure force of tyre to running track [kN]: 300
– maximum linear speed of running track [km/h]: 120
AB 942 The laboratory works in accordance with PN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
Application:
• tests of wheel according to UNECE Regulation No. 124
• tests of tyres according to ECE Regulation No. 106, 108, 109
• tests of radial, axial and circumferential rigidity of tyres with simultaneous measurement of stresses
and deformations occurring in the disk wheel – electric resistance wire strain gauge measurements
• dynamic balancing of disc wheels with tyres
